Hypersign Community Update: July 2023

Updates Community Partnership
TL;DR In July, Hypersign significantly enhanced the Decentralised Identity Network's capabilities by supporting the "X25519KeyAgreementKey2020" VerificationMethod type, setting the stage for developing the Encrypted Data Vault. We actively engaged with communities through hackathons, workshops, and social platforms and made key announcements of partnerships with Babylon Chain, Eclipse Fi, and ReputeX. These collaborations bolster our mission of fostering community ownership and improving digital identity security.
Dear Hypersign Community,
We are thrilled to share our progress update for July, highlighting significant milestones in technical development, community outreach, and strategic partnerships, which continue to bolster our mission and extend awareness of our unique identity solution.

Technical Updates

An essential advancement this month was the addition of support for the "X25519KeyAgreementKey2020" VerificationMethod type to the Hypersign Identity Network. This essential enhancement paves the way for developing the Encrypted Data Vault and further solidifies our commitment to Decentralised Identity Communication.

Outreach

July was a bustling month for us with a plethora of outreach initiatives and community engagements:
The month started with the conclusion of our hack:DiD developer workshop series in Delhi on July 1. Over 100 developers joined us to explore the principles and applications of Self-Sovereign Identity. Catch a glimpse of the event below:
On July 3, we engaged with the Cosmos community at Cosmos Club to discuss Hypersign's CrossChain Identity infrastructure built on Tendermint & Cosmos SDKs. If you missed it, you can listen to the discussion here.
We launched the hack:DiD hackathon on Dorahacks in association with Dojima Network on July 4, which is currently live. Developers can submit their projects until August 10. Learn more about the hackathon here, and you can rewatch the opening ceremony below:
Our co-founder, Vikram Bhushan, shared Hypersign’s journey from hackathons to fundraising with the Spheron community on July 27. Listen to the inspirational talk here.
On July 28, we discussed Decentralised Identity, Verifiable Credentials, and their application in web3 games at the Avisa Games Guild Bengaluru meetup. Checkout snapshots from the event:

Partnerships

We're excited to announce key collaborations that occurred this month:
We unveiled our partnership with Babylon Chain on July 17. This collaboration resonates with our shared vision to empower individuals through community ownership and governance while maintaining the privacy and protection of personal data. Read more about the partnership here.
In a joint venture with Eclipse Fi during the Delphi Hackathon, we developed an MVP for the world's first fully-regulated launchpad using on-chain KYC with ZK Proofs, which prioritize user privacy and enable vetted decentralized community creation.
We also joined hands with ReputeX to enable DID scores in the Web3 ecosystem. By associating different individuals' wallets to the same DID, ReputeX can consider all wallet activities when calculating reputation scores.
These collaborations further strengthen our position in the Identity and Access Management landscape as we continue to drive the adoption of Decentralised Identifiers (DID) and enhance user control and privacy.

Looking Ahead

As we venture into the coming month, we remain steadfast in our mission to advance digital identity security and foster innovation. We extend our deepest gratitude to our community for the continuous support and look forward to the exciting journey ahead.
